Our website aims to simplify education by providing a single platform for students, teachers, and parents, eliminating multiple logins. Teachers can upload grades, share resources, and send notifications, while parents can monitor progress. Students can track performance, access materials, and stay informed. Using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, and PHP, we prioritize simplicity and accessibility. Security measures like encryption safeguard user data. With a menu-driven interface and robust data storage, we focus on enhancing the user experience for all stakeholders.
Introduction
I. INTRODUCTION
The college management system website of FCRIT was developed between 2014 and 2018, officially launched in 2019, and has since received regular updates by a student team under CS and IT department supervision. It boasts an Academic Progress Monitoring System (APMS) enabling students to track their academic performance and marks, while also assisting faculty members in managing student grades.
II. MOTIVATION
The current FCRIT website primarily serves faculty members, but we're expanding its focus to meet the needs of students and parents. Our goal is to enhance user experience by consolidating features like grades, attendance records, notices, and reference materials into one user-friendly platform. By simplifying access to academic data and materials, we aim to make the website more efficient and convenient for students and families.
III. AIM AND OBJECTIVE
Our main goal is to improve student record management and accessibility for parents while making reference materials more readily available to students. The website will serve as a comprehensive platform, providing general notifications and easy access to students' academic progress for both students and parents. Teachers will be able to store and manage all student information within one unified platform. By centralizing and digitizing student data, our app aims to enhance communication and efficiency, allowing all stakeholders to easily track academic progress and make informed decisions.
IV. LITERATURE SURVEY
A. Mobile Web Based Android Application for College Management System
The idea proposed in the paper is the development of an Android-based Mobile Campus application aimed at enhancing the management of student information in an educational institute. The objective is to digitize and streamline information dissemination within the college campus, promoting efficiency and ease of communication. The application will be used by students, teachers and parents. It includes the following modules – User, Database, Staff, Notification, Discussion Forum, News and Event, Assignment and Notes, and Exam Reminder.??
Technology/Tools used:??MySQL as the database and Apache Tomcat Server.?
B. Development of GMVIT College
App Using Android Studio?
The main idea proposed in the paper is the development of an Android application called GMVIT that serves as a miniature version of the college website. The primary objectives of this project include providing an online interface for students and faculty, enhancing the efficiency of college record management, reducing the time required to access and deliver student records and improving system security. The project aims to streamline communication and data exchange between students and faculty members, making it more convenient and efficient through mobile technology.?
Technology/Tools used:? NoSQL JSON database, Firebase (a backend-as-a-Service (Baas)).
C. Learning Management System?
The Learning Management System (LMS) is an educational portal that provides a comprehensive platform for learners and instructors to engage in a seamless online learning experience. The LMS combines various features that are supported by many online classroom portals, resource sharing apps, and reminder cum notification apps, all under one umbrella. The system has a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to navigate, and it addresses all the requirements of learners and instructors. With the LMS, learners can access course materials, interact with other learners, and receive feedback from their instructors. Instructors, on the other hand, can manage course content, monitor progress, and communicate with their learners.?
Technology/Tools used:??HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap 4.6.2 and MySQL, Nodejs.
D. College Management System?
The main idea presented here is that the survey paper offers a comprehensive overview of college management systems developed using PHP. It emphasizes the need for a systematic approach in developing such systems, highlighting the importance of incorporating all the features specified in the system requirements. The paper also suggests that these systems are designed to address the day-to-day challenges faced by colleges and provide users with relevant information based on their selected services.
V. PROPOSED SYSTEM
A. Problem Statement
Every Educational Institution maintains a Database of Students and faculty members but they are interlinked sites or are completely different sites with only links to jump from one to another; it doesn’t provide accurate and valid data due to jumping of sites and doesn’t provide regular updates with their students and staff members.
B. Scope
The current phase of our college website development marks the beginning of a dynamic journey. We plan to significantly expand the platform, with a vision focused on inclusivity and tailored user experiences. Our roadmap includes the creation of specialized pages catering to the unique needs of students, teachers, and parents. These pages will offer targeted functionalities, enhancing usability and overall satisfaction. Our goal is to evolve the platform into a comprehensive hub that serves the diverse needs of our college community.
C. Software Requirements
HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, MySQL and PHP.
Conclusion
This college information management website represents a significant step forward in simplifying the educational experience for students, teachers, and parents. With the integration of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, and PHP, we\'ve created a harmonious and user-friendly platform that simplifies the educational experience for students, teachers, and parents alike. This achievement not only streamlines information management but also fosters greater accessibility. Our multipurpose website is more than just a digital tool; it symbolizes a bridge between educational stakeholders, connecting them in unprecedented ways. As we move forward, our unwavering commitment remains to continually enhance the platform\'s functionality and user experience.
